About me

While I've been a keen crafter from a very early age, it's taken me some time to get to the point of turning my hobby into my profession. I started my career working in IT-focused roles in B2B publishing. Sixteen years on I made a big change, returning to university to study for a Master's in translation. And now, another 15 years later, I'm drawing on all the skills I've developed AND my passion for yarn to do what I love.

Today, I'm a certified crochet and knitting pattern technical editor and I love nothing more than poring over patterns in detail to ensure they're stitch perfect. I'm also an experienced French-into-English translator, ready to bring French design flair and a certain je ne sais quoi to English-speaking makers!
